Call for Special Session Proposals

The Seventh ACM/IEEE International Conference on Distributed Smart Cameras (ICDSC) will take place in Palm Springs, CA, USA, between October 29 and November 1, 2013.

The technical program will include special sessions. Their objective is to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest to the distributed and smart cameras community.

Prospective organizers of special sessions should submit proposals indicating

-Title of the session
-Rationale of the need for the special session at ICDSC. The rationale should stress the novelty of the topic and /or its multidisciplinary flavor, and must explain how it is different from the subjects covered by the regular sessions
-List of organizers including affiliation and email address
-Paper submission procedure (submission via web site, via email, etc.)
-Paper review procedure (single-blind/double-blind, internal/external, solicited/invited-only, pool of reviewers, etc.)
-Paper submission and acceptance deadlines (camera-ready and early registration deadlines for a special session must coincide with the corresponding deadlines of ICDSC-2013)
-Special space and equipment requests, if any

Proposals are due on or before May 20, 2013 and should be sent via e-mail (in either pdf or plain ascii text form) to the Special Sessions chair, Christian Micheloni ( christian.micheloni@uniud.it).

Notification of acceptance will be sent to the organizers by June 3.
